In perfumery, woody notes are naturally composed of precious woods such as cedarwood, oud, sandalwood, vetiver, amyris, cypriol, and patchouli.
For men, the woody family is particularly used to express the idea of stability and self-confidence.
For women, this family has gradually been used, to a lesser extent, to express self-confidence. For these perfumes, the woody family is always associated with another dominant family (amber, floral, musky, powdery, or even gourmand).
